Acknowledgments
NYIAC grew out of an idea that was promoted in 2010 by the NYSBA Task Force on New York Law in International Matters. NYIAC is grateful for the creativity and commitment of dozens of members of the NYSBA and the resulting “I Love New York” arbitration committee. While many individuals are responsible for creating and supporting NYIAC, the Directors and Members of NYIAC want to recognize the enormous efforts and special contributions of the late Honorable Judith S. Kaye – Founding NYIAC Chair and former Chief Judge of the New York State Court of Appeals – an early supporter and leader of the effort to create NYIAC. We were privileged to have her take on the leadership of NYIAC at the critical time of its establishment. She brought the Center from a concept to a reality and led NYIAC with her inimitable warmth, grace, and humor. To read more about Judge Kaye and her impactful career, please see Judith S. Kaye in Her Own Words: Reflections on Life and the Law, with Selected Judicial Opinions and Articles (June 2019)
