The Program
Comprised of two leading international arbitration practitioners, an asset tracing and enforcement expert, and an OFAC Chief in the Licensing Division, this panel will provide different perspectives of how recent developments in the U.S. sanctions regimes has affected, and may continue to affect: (i) the nature of claims that arise in the international arbitration forum; (ii) the arbitral procedure; and (iii) the enforcement and execution of arbitral awards against, or by, sanctioned entities.  The panel will, in particular, consider the impact of the U.S. sanctions regime on cases arising from the CIS/Russia and Asia-Pacific regions.

Covington & Burling LLP is certified by the New York State Continuing Legal Education Board as an Accredited Provider of continuing legal education. In accordance with jurisdictional requirements, this program will be approved for a maximum of 2.0 NY Professional Practice (Transitional/Non-Transitional) credit hours for newly-admitted and experienced attorneys.
