The book brings together forty young international arbitration practitioners from all over the world who in the words of Alexis Mourre represent the “almost perfect image of the arbitration world of tomorrow.”
Eight chapters of “40 under 40” are written by arbitration practitioners from New York and address a wide range of topics covering an entire life-cycle of arbitration from drafting of arbitration clauses to enforcement of annulled arbitral awards. These chapters also focus on arbitration efficiency and tools to achieve it, such as dispositive motions and emergency relief, and discuss problems of governing law in arbitration, human rights, and determination of damages.
While almost half of “40 under 40” contributors are women, women represent the majority among the New York authors, which makes the book a great contribution to the Equal Representation in Arbitration Pledge.
