The New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) Committee on Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technologies Presents Lunch and Learn Series: The Ethics of AI/GAI Use by Attorneys

Generative artificial intelligence (“GAI”) use by attorneys implicates a number of ethical obligations. These obligations begin with the duty of competence and continue through the Rules of Professional Conduct. This session will examine those rules, how the rules apply to GAI, and suggest measures that might be taken by attorneys to discharge their ethical obligations in the context of GAI.
