The Miami International Arbitration Society (MIAS), Holland & Knight, and FK Economics Present Damage Assessment Workshop (in Spanish)

This workshop addresses the economic and statistical elements that frequently appear in damage assessments in international commercial arbitrations. The central themes are the causality and certainty of damages from an economic perspective, the distinction between actual damages and lost profits, and the use of statistical and econometric evidence to construct and challenge counterfactual scenarios. The content is developed using concrete cases, allowing lawyers to ground the concepts in situations they recognize from their practice. The goal is for lawyers to understand the logic behind expert reports and be better equipped to work with them.
