The International Bar Association (IBA) Human Rights Law Committee, Rule of Law Forum, and Environment, Health and Safety Law Committee Present Human Rights and Nuclear Legacy in the Marshall Islands

This webinar addresses the challenges and barriers to the full realisation of the human rights of the people of the Marshall Islands arising from the state’s nuclear legacy. It examines the enduring health, environmental and intergenerational harms caused by the US’ Nuclear Testing Program in the Marshall Islands between 1946 and 1958 and evaluates the principal legal and non-legal avenues available to the Marshall Islands to seek accountability, redress and remediation.
