Baker & McKenzie and the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) Present Morning Roundtable Discussion: Invaluable Arbitration Insights for Japanese Companies

We’re pleased to invite you to a roundtable discussion event we’re co-hosting with the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) at 9:00 am on Thursday, 23 April 2026. This seminar will give Japanese companies the chance to gain important insights on arbitration from leading specialists in the field. Japanese parties frequently choose Singapore as their preferred arbitration venue and SIAC consistently ranks among their most used arbitral institutions. Over the past two years alone, Japanese parties have been involved in over 110 SIAC arbitrations, placing them among the top ten SIAC users in the world. SIAC’s 2025 Annual Report will be released shortly before this roundtable and will be discussed in depth. This Japan- and industry-specific information on the 2025 Report’s statistics will only be available at this event. Facilitators will also discuss provisions in the SIAC Rules 2025 that Japanese companies may be able to leverage in future disputes. A networking session will be held before the seminar where attendees can meet and chat.
